We Need You!

Did you know you have a God-mandated responsibility to care for orphans?  Well, here's an opportunity to obey! Two young women from our church will be traveling to Uganda in January to spend several months working with Yesu Asobola Ministries (a ministry devoted to ministering to orphaned children in Onyerai Village) and they help getting there!

We need you! If you can get yourself around a dirt track, you can help!  On Saturday, October 19th, from 10:00-11:00 at the Steve Walker household (email us for directions at resucedwalkathon@gmail.com) you can walk or run in the Rescued Walk-a-Thon.  It's easy!

Here's what you need to do.  Go to rescuedwalkathon@gmail.com to register and get a waiver. Return the waiver and print your pledge forms here.  Then, start getting sponsors. Maybe Neighbor Joe or Grandma would like to pledge a flat amount of $25.00 or $100.00 to help orphans.  Or, ask Aunt Jane, or Teacher Dan to sponsor you per lap.  Just make sure you get a minimum of $.25 per lap completed.

After the walk-a-thon, you'll be given an envelope in which to collect your donations.  By October 27th, turn in your envelopes with your collected pledge money and turn it in to your event coordinator.

Come on, it'll be fun!  And, it's an opportunity for the entire family to get involved!  Even the youngest walkers can get pledges.  Or, perhaps you'll want to push a stroller around the track with your crawler. Then, after your laps, stick around for awhile and visit with friends while you refresh yourself with a piece of fruit,  a cookie, and some bottled water.

Meet goals and win amazing gifts!  Take a look at our PRIZES page.

Don't forget to check back regularly for updates.

On your mark, get set, GO get pledges!

LOCATION CHANGE!

Please note that our event will now be held at the Steve Walker household (email rescuedwalkathon@gmail.com for directions) instead of Savage Middle School.  We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!
